Draft — pending owner approval. This text describes how the software works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet in force.
Terms of use
Draft last updated 13 October 2026
These terms cover the Book My Food website, the Android app and the staff cockpit. They describe how ordering works in the software today. The operating company has not been named yet; until then “we” means Book My Food.
The service
Book My Food is software that lets a cafe or kitchen take orders from the residents of a residential society and deliver them to their flats. The cafe shown on the store sets its menu, prices, opening hours, fees and which payment methods it accepts, and prepares and delivers the food.
The demo store
bookmyfood.si currently runs a demo store for evaluation. Its cafe, Demo Residency, customers and orders are fictional; no food is prepared or delivered, no SMS is sent and no money is charged. The demo can change, be reset or be unavailable at any time. Please don’t enter real personal details.
Your account
- You log in with a mobile number you control and a one-time code. Don’t share your codes.
- Give a name and flat address that let the cafe deliver to you, and keep them up to date in Account.
- You are responsible for orders placed from your account.
Orders and prices
- The bill is calculated by our server from the menu at the time you order, including any coupon, fees and GST. The bill shown at checkout is the amount you pay.
- Items can sell out. An item that is sold out can’t be ordered, and a reorder leaves it out and tells you.
- An order reaches the cafe when it is placed: straight away for cash on delivery, or once your online payment has been verified. The cafe then accepts it with an estimated delivery time, or rejects it with a reason.
- Delivery times are estimates set by the cafe. The cafe can also mark itself busy, pause new orders or close.
- Coupons have the conditions shown with them (for example a minimum order, a cap, an expiry date or first order only) and are checked by the server.
Payment
- Online payments (UPI and cards) are processed by Razorpay, and its own terms also apply to them.
- For cash on delivery, pay the rider at your door.
- An online order you don’t finish paying for is cancelled automatically after 30 minutes.
Cancellations and refunds
- You can cancel an order yourself while it is still waiting for the cafe to accept it.
- After that, the cafe can cancel it. The cafe can also reject an order, with a reason.
- If an order you paid for online is cancelled or rejected, a full refund to the original payment method starts automatically. The time it takes to arrive depends on your bank or card provider.
- Problems with an order that was delivered should be raised with the cafe through the contact page.
Delivery
- Delivery is to the tower, floor and flat on your order, inside the society the cafe serves.
- Please be reachable on your phone while your order is on the way. If the cafe uses delivery PINs, give the rider the PIN shown on your tracker.
Ratings and feedback
After delivery you can rate the order and add a note. The cafe sees your rating and note. Please keep feedback honest and respectful.
Acceptable use
- Don’t place orders you don’t intend to receive or pay for, or orders for someone else’s flat without their agreement.
- Don’t try to get around prices, coupon rules or login limits, or interfere with the service or other people’s accounts.
Staff accounts
Staff accounts are created by the store owner with a role (owner, manager, kitchen, cashier or rider) that decides what each person can do. Staff must keep their sign-in codes, including any demo staff access code, to themselves. Actions such as order status changes and menu, coupon and settings changes are recorded with the name of the person who made them. Riders sharing their location do so only from rider mode.
