For cafe and kitchen owners
Run your society deliveries from one screen
Book My Food replaces WhatsApp messages and the order notebook with a live kitchen board, rider mode, GST invoices and a daily close, built for a cafe or kitchen that delivers inside one residential society.
The public site is a demo store with fictional data. The owner cockpit and kitchen board need a staff sign-in, so we walk you through them in a demo.

A kitchen board that won’t let an order slip
- Four columns: New, Preparing, Ready and Out for delivery, updated live as orders arrive.
- A chime repeats every few seconds while any order is waiting in New, and stops once it is accepted. Browsers need one tap to allow sound; the board tells staff when.
- Accept with an ETA of 10, 15, 20, 30 or 45 minutes, which becomes the countdown residents see. Reject with a reason, and paid orders are refunded automatically.
- Each card shows the order code, a timer, tower, floor and flat, the items with their options, and whether it is paid or cash. Print an 80 mm kitchen ticket (KOT) from the card, or turn on auto-print on accept.

One order lifecycle, enforced by the server
- Every order follows the same path: payment pending, placed, accepted, preparing, ready, out for delivery, delivered. Steps can’t be skipped; the API refuses illegal moves.
- Prices are always worked out on the server from the current menu, never taken from the phone.
- Online payments are verified on the server (Razorpay) before an order reaches the kitchen. Unpaid online checkouts are cancelled after 30 minutes.
- Each change is recorded with who made it and when, and residents see it on their tracker instantly.

Rider mode and a live map for residents
- Riders sign in to rider mode on the web or in the Android app and claim orders that are ready.
- Deliveries are grouped by tower, floors in order, so one lift trip can cover several flats.
- Live location sharing puts the rider on the resident’s map while the order is on the way. On the web it is a switch the rider turns on; the Android app shares while an order is out for delivery.
- Optional delivery PIN: the resident gets a 4-digit PIN and the rider types it to complete the delivery. Cards also say whether to collect cash.

GST invoices and a day close
- A tax invoice number is assigned when an order is accepted, in the form BMF/2026-27/00001 (prefix BMF on the demo store), with CGST and SGST shown separately and the amount in words. Print it or save it as PDF.
- Day close totals the day: orders, gross and net sales, discounts, online and cash, refunds, GST collected, new and repeat customers and the top item.
- Log expenses as they happen (11 categories) to see the net cash position, then lock the day so its numbers can no longer change.

Analytics and customers
Revenue, orders, prep and delivery times, ratings, payment split, busiest hours and towers, top items with margins, and a customer list with segments.

Is it a fit?
Book My Food is built for one specific situation. It is worth being clear about what that is.
Good fit
- A cafe or kitchen inside, or right next to, one residential society.
- Orders arrive today by WhatsApp, phone calls or a notebook at the counter.
- Addresses are tower, floor and flat, and your own staff deliver.
- You want UPI and card payments verified automatically, with cash still possible.
Not built for
- Street-address delivery across a city: there is no map-pin address or distance-based fee.
- Marketplace listing: residents order from your store, not from a list of restaurants.
- Dine-in table ordering or a full restaurant POS.
Before a live launch a store needs its own menu and photos, Razorpay keys for online payments, an SMS provider with a DLT-registered template for login codes, and hosting in India for residents’ personal data. Read moving a society cafe off WhatsApp and the notebook for a practical plan.
